Currently, this page has Advent of Code 2022 content, and Project Euler content.

Elsewhere, we also have Advent of Code 2015 content, and Advent of Code 2016 content. Do those fit here? Or do they deviate too far from the "share my screen" ideal?

I think they would need to be put into the proper style.

My hope for this page is that the J expert talks to the newbie in stream-of-consciousness style. There should be liberal use of first-person writing, and much talk of feelings, worries, hunches. If you go down a blind alley, describe it step by step.

Such focus on self and feelings is definitely not my comfort zone, nor that of most of the geeks I know. But I think it will put the newbie off the least.

I found that for all but the very hard problems, writing up the program took about twice as long as writing and debugging the program. Someone would have to put that time into the old AoC essays if they are to be welcome. Henry Rich (talk) 19:58, 8 August 2023 (UTC)

At some point someone should presumably come back and edit this to achieve a consistent style.

For now, I've started a 2023 section, and I've created my initial entry in the style of the Project Euler entries (where different people's approaches to the same problem would appear side-by-side) rather than in the current AoC 2022 style (where different people have different subsections). --Raul Miller (talk) 19:14, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
