A quantity is a value followed by a units.
A value is always a real (=non-complex) numeric value in TABULA. However a variety of value sets are possible, e.g. integer, floating-point, Boolean.
There is no unique way of writing down a given quantity. Not even in SI-units.
Examples of different ways of writing down the same quantity: ten "domestic units" of electricity in SI-units:
